Laura is a 'Visual Arts and Education graduate and before having children spent her years teaching Art and French to school-age children.' And since the birth of her daughter, she now finds herself 'drawn into the world of sewing and creating organic designs for children.'

'Conventionally grown cotton is the most heavily sprayed crop in the world. The Environmental Protection Agency considers seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the United States as "possible," "likely," "probable," or "known" human carcinogens. The chemicals sprayed on cotton are some of the most hazardous. According to the World Health Organization, 20,000 people die each year in developing countries as a result of the chemicals sprayed on conventionally grown cotton. Organic agriculture uses 50% less energy and reduced water pollution by 75%. It takes carbon out of our atmosphere and puts it back in the soil leaving the land healthier and reducing global warming.'
