Made in Canada {giveaway} from Meadowsweet Organics CLOSED

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

Good Morning and happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful time in the sun over the weekend. Today we find ourselves in Bay St. George, Newfoundland which is home to Laura and her etsy shop Meadowsweet Organics. Laura is a 'Visual Arts and Education graduate and before having children spent her years teaching Art and French to school-age children.' And since the birth of her daughter, she now finds herself 'drawn into the world of sewing and creating organic designs for children.'

At Meadowsweet Organics you will find only the softest organic cotton t-shirts, bibs, soft toys, and knot hats. Laura sews each of her designs with the greatest of care, and loves adding new designs to her shop. All of Laura's items feature organic cotton or organic cotton canvas, and you can be sure that everything from Meadowsweet Organics is completely safe for your little ones. And here's why Laura has chosen organic cotton as her preferred material...

'Conventionally grown cotton is the most heavily sprayed crop in the world. The Environmental Protection Agency considers seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the United States as "possible," "likely," "probable," or "known" human carcinogens. The chemicals sprayed on cotton are some of the most hazardous. According to the World Health Organization, 20,000 people die each year in developing countries as a result of the chemicals sprayed on conventionally grown cotton. Organic agriculture uses 50% less energy and reduced water pollution by 75%. It takes carbon out of our atmosphere and puts it back in the soil leaving the land healthier and reducing global warming.'

And now for a few of my favorite things!

$20.00 USD

$16.50 USD

$28.00 USD

Organic Cotton Canvas Sunhat
$28.00 USD

And I am very excited to announce that Laura has very graciously offered to give away a Baby-Grow Organic Hat in the winner's choice of fabric!!!

$15.95 USD

'Sewn with a 100% organic cotton rib knit with just the right amount of stretch to grow comfortably with baby. The adjustable knots on this hat allow you to style it in 2 different ways: together on top to draw the length up for an infant, or separately on the sides for a larger baby or toddler.

Not only is this hat longlasting, it is also a hat for everyday. Thanks to the breathability of cotton, this hat will keep your little one’s head snuggly warm on cooler days but will not overheat on warmer days.'

Open to : U.S and Canada
Ends :  August 5, 2010
