Peshtemal {review + giveaway} from The Peshtemal Shop

{review + giveaway}
Sponsored by :

Today I would love to share with you a fantastic Etsy shop based out of Mugla, Turkey that specializes in a traditional Turkish bath cloth called the Peshtemal. I received my very own and very beautiful Turquoise/White Peshtemal to try earlier this month. Besides coming in virtually every color, Peshtemals can be used for just about anything ... they're great as beach towels, swim suit cover ups, picnic blankets, bath towels, and can even provide a soft impromptu change pad for baby.

$45.00

This summer has provided several occasions to use my Peshtemal and I could not be happier with the way it has performed as a beach towel/cover-up. The Peshtemal is super light which is great for long strolls on the beach or shoreside camping trips, these towels also absorb just as quickly as conventional terry towels (wash first to achieve this), and they dry very quickly which is a must for camping. Everyone wants to know where I got my Peshtemal and mine seems to be 'borrowed' whenever I'm not looking! I absolutely love my Peshtemal and have taken it with me on just about every outing so far this summer and used it as a beach towel after swimming, a picnic blanket at the park, even a cover-up at a beach concert. The Peshtemal comes in pretty well every color imaginable and look amazing in person, they're much too pretty to stick in a linen closet so when not in use I drape mine over an armchair in the living room.

A Peshtemal is a fantastically affordable gift idea for any occasion including birthdays, housewarmings, or as a hostess gift. I highly recommend The Peshtemal Shop to anyone looking to revamp their linen collection or looking for linens to complete their at home spa experience.

The Pestemal Shop would love to send one lucky winner their choice of Peshtemal!

Mother's Day {review & giveaway} Bath Salts from The Dancing Grasshopper CLOSED

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

mothers day button

Good morning, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and managed to squeeze in a little 'me time'!
This morning I am so pleased to be able to introduce Stephanie from The Dancing Grasshopper.

At The Dancing Grasshopper you will find Olive Oil soaps, lip balms, and lotions. As well as bath salts, soy candles, and some items for your 'babyhopper' too. Stephanie also crafts some very beautiful feather headbands and hairclips. All of The Dancing Grasshopper's bath and body products are 100% handmade, paraben free, and contain no dyes!!! I was very excited to try the Juniper and Sage Bath Salt, which comes in a space saving 3oz. tube with screw top lid and a very simple ingredients list printed on their cute label.

This scent is on the softer side but I found that it did a great job of making my bath water nice and silky. I also just felt better knowing that I was soaking in something that was good for me and wasn't worried about any chemicals wreaking havoc with my sensitive skin. All you need is 2-3tsp sprinkled under running warm bath water and voila instant feel good 'me time'! Stephanie also included a little sample of soap to try out as well. This one had a more robust scent about it and lathered up very nicely, leaving my skin clean and happy.

Here's a few more items from Stephanie's collection of goodness that have caught my eye.

Tomato Leaf 4oz. Olive Oil Soap ~ $5.95USD

Ginger Peach Olive Oil Lip Balm ~ $2.95USD

Black and White Feather Headband ~ $14.95USD

 Babyhopper Gift Set ~ $15.95USD

Buy It
Head on over to The Dancing Grasshopper and get free shipping on all Headbands and Hairclips as well as 25% off all Wild Mint & Ivy products.

Win It
The lovely Stephanie has given me an extra 3oz tube of Juniper & Sage Bath Salt to pass on to one lucky reader.

{giveaway} Paintbox Soap Collection from Paintbox Soapworks CLOSED

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

mothers day button

Let Mom lather up in the scents of spring with a Paintbox Soap Collection from Paintbox Soapworks.

Here's a little bit more about Hayley of Paintbox Soapworks from her Etsy bio: "Paintbox Soapworks was born out of my love for handicraft, beautiful fragrances & clean hands. It all started innocently enough, making soap out of some perfume oils languishing in my collection. I made some extra & sent them to friends. Then there was a loud whooshing sound & I had more ideas for tasty fragrances & fun colors than I knew what to do with.
Being a typical Gemini, I love variety, & designed my mini soap tablets so I could use a different soap every day without cluttering up the shower. I have 6 in rotation right now, plus 3 at the sink & 2 in the kitchen. Never let it be said I don't use my own product :)"

With a background in culinary arts Hayley has created some truly mouth watering scents like, Lavendar Truffle, Orange Crush, and Fantasticake to name a few. Here's a couple that have got my nose's attention;

$6.00USD

Resolution Luxury Glycerin Soap ~ Grapefruit, Juniper, Citron
$6.00USD

The Grotto Luxury Glycerin Soap ~ Tuberose, Damp Moss
$6.00USD

Win It !
The wonderful Hayley has agreed to give one lucky reader their very own Paintbox Soap Collection!

The winner's Paintbox Soap Collection will contain each of the following scents in .7 ounce bars.

Downpour ~ Cool Spring Rains, Ferns, Hyacinth, Cyclamen
The Olive Tree ~ Olive Blossom, Osmanthus, Fresh Air

{review & giveaway} Apricot Cybilla Sugar Cube Scrub from CleanQueenSoapCo. CLOSED

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

Spring is here (rain and all), the grass is greener, flowers are blooming (achooo!), and the air is alive with the sound of bird song. I don't know about you, but after a hard days work soaking in the freshness of spring I'm ready for a nice long bath! And what better way to spring clean your skin then with an all natural sugar cube scrub.
:Introducing:

I received a lovely little sample of Apricot Cybilla Sugar Cube Scrub from CleanQueenSoapCo. and I have to admit these cubes are total bliss. First off they smell absolutely delish! My mail box smelt way too good the day these babies arrived. It's a really nice fruity smell, sometimes I find fruit soaps or perfumes a little too sweet but this blend of apricot cybilla was amazing. You could even put a few cubes in an envelope and sit them in your closet, your clothes will be sure to attract a few curious noses. The second thing that I love about CleanQueenSoapCo.'s sugar cube scrub is their hardiness. One thing that drives me nuts when using most mainstream cubes is the fact that they dissolve as soon as they come into contact with water. This results in a bath far from relaxing as you race against the clock to lather up before the cube slips through your fingers. There was no dissapearing act when it came to the Apricot Cybilla Sugar Cube Scrub, these great cubes can be dunked and scrubbed as leisurely as you like! And scrub they do. I don't own a car so my main mode of transportation are my two left feet and my trunk consists of a well worn backpack, needless to say my shoulders are deffinetley worse for wear. These sugar cube scrubs proved to be a wonderful exfoliant, they rejuvinated my tough dry skin while working a bit of aroma therapy magic. The end result was healthier, smoother skin and a happier mind. To learn more about the Apricot Cybilla Sugar Cube Scrub you can go here.
And now some totally exciting news, Lisa, the clean queen herself, has agreed to give one of my lucky readers their very own 10oz jar of Apricot Cybilla Sugar Cube Scrub (that's approximately 15 fair sized cubes). This jar retails for $12 US.
Mandatory Entry
To enter please visit CleanQueenSoapCo. and have a look around then come back here and leave a comment below with another product you would love to try.

{giveaway} Soft Little Irish Washies from My Bella Baby CLOSED

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

Spread some lather and luck with these super soft washies for babe. Here's what Kayla of MyBellaBaby has to say about them..."Introducing a different approach to bathing! Soft little washies are made out of 100% cotton on one side, minky fabric on the other with a layer in between for absorbency/thickness. There is an elastic strap, 1" wide, on the back covered with matching cotton fabric.
These little washies measure a 3" circle. Easily slip the strap onto your hand while bathing your little one and enjoy the option to use the minky side or the cotton side, just flip the strap.
Little washies are the perfect size for your toddler to use when they get to the "I want to do it myself" stage. Give them their own!
Easy to travel with, just slip in the diaper bag. Easy cleaning, just toss in the washer and dryer.
This is a set of 5, comes tied with a ribbon."

Kayla's inspiration for these fantastic little washies came from her frustation with the high prices on items that could only be used for one short stage in babes life. Kayla decided to change this, and now she's got you covered for several stages in your child's life, and completely affordable too!
Want to know when MyBellaBaby is having their next sale (this month it's 'buy two sets, get one free'), or be the first to know about her own giveaways and contests? Sign up for MyBellaBaby's monthly newsletter, just put your name and email into a nice little message and send it off to Kayla via Etsy convo.
