I am so excited to introduce you all to the talented Lisa King of Sew Lucky Girl this morning. Here's a bit about Ms King from her bio, "Lisa King graduated from Georgia State University, and earned her BFA in printmaking and painting. Her love of screen printing is reflected in her pillows, along with her love of the decorative arts in her fanciful designs, along with a bit of whimsy and humor. She has exhibited her fine art Nationally and Internationally, and her work resides in the personal collections of musicians Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots, Denny Walley of the Magic Band, and Jeff Calder of the Swimming Pool Q’s. Her work is also collected by Kit West and John Baker, the special effects coordinators of film-maker George Lucas."
Whew, what a resume !!!

Sew Lucky Girl has an amazing collection of pillows, pin cushions, purses, and totes. All of which are made by Lisa King in her Atlanta, Georgia studio with the help of her trusty vintage Elnita sewing machine. Besides making amazing stuff for all of us, Lisa believes in giving back, and has pledged 20% of the proceeds every time she sells a "Big Bad Cat" or a "Bad Kitty/Good Kitty" pillow to P.A.W.S. Atlanta. She also gives some of the proceeds from the poly-fill pillow stuffing she uses to support Breast Cancer initiatives. What a great gal! But that's not all, besides being a fine artist and making too cool pillows, she is also part of a band called The Hot Place who are working on releasing an album this year.
